Xcaret prices, honestly
Xcaret has a reputation for being expensive, and part of that is confusion: several ticket types, a transport add-on, and paid extras inside. Here is what a day really costs in 2026, and how to keep it down.
The ticket types

Booking on xcaret.com 7 or more days ahead takes about 10 percent off. Children 5 to 11 pay about 75 percent of the adult price and under-5s enter free; Viator listings price children by height (1 to 1.4 m pays the child rate).
Why it feels so expensive
The entry fee itself is fair for what it covers: more than 50 attractions, three underground rivers and a show with 300 performers. What hurts is everything on top. Dolphin and manatee swims, Sea Trek, Snuba, the photo package and, on Basic, all food and drinks cost extra. One reviewer put it bluntly: “It’s like paying to go to Disney and then having to pay to go on each ride.” Snack bars lean on chips and soda, and restaurant queues are long at peak lunchtime.
Five ways to pay less
1. Book a week ahead for the online discount. 2. Take Plus if you will eat lunch anyway: the upgrade costs about what a meal inside does, and adds lockers. 3. Skip the transport add-on if you are in Playa del Carmen - a 10-minute taxi is far cheaper. 4. Decide on extras before you go; the free inlet snorkel is full of fish, whatever the upsell says. 5.
